About
Maria Sidawi is a first generation British Syrian self-taught visual artist based in Bath. Working across textile and installation, her practice explores hidden and unhidden experiences. In 2025, she was awarded Somerset Art Works’ Creative Pathways Bursary for emerging artists, where she developed and exhibited The Waiting Game, a collection of hand-embroidered artwork shown at the Zig Zag Building in Glastonbury. The Waiting Game was also chosen to feature in the Artists Showcase through a collaboration between the National Trust Bath Assembly Rooms and the Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust (AWP), and was exhibited at SOMER Store in Bath.
