About

I am a first generation British Syrian visual artist based in Bath, navigating my early career as a self-taught artist.

Although I didn’t study art, I discovered my creativity unexpectedly when I completed a media-making project in 2016 at university addressing the Syrian refugee crisis.

About

In 2025, I made the decision to pursue a freelance artist career alongside my day job in project management.

My work explores lived experiences, focusing on themes such as grief, nostalgia, memory, and the search for connection.

I am still at the beginning of my artistic practice, continuously figuring things out and embracing an exploratory approach.

I was recently awarded Somerset Art Work’s Creative Pathways Bursary. I will be exhibiting work I am creating as part of the bursary during their Open Studios weeks (13-28 September).
